Frequently asked questions
Is the first transcript really free?
Yes. Your first transcript is completely free and requires no account or credit card, for videos up to 10 minutes long. One free trial per browser installation.
Does it work only with YouTube?
No. AnyVideo processes supported public video links. Availability depends on the individual source, captions and access restrictions. See our dated compatibility checks. Private, login-only, paywalled and DRM-protected sources are not supported.
Do you store the audio?
Audio files and chunks are stored temporarily while a job is processed and are removed during job cleanup. If a worker stops unexpectedly, periodic cleanup removes leftover files. When official subtitles are unavailable, audio chunks are sent to Groq for speech-to-text processing.
How long are transcripts kept?
Transcripts are stored for 7 days so you can re-download them whenever you need, then deleted automatically. You can also delete a transcript immediately with one click from the extension.
What formats can I download?
Markdown (.md) includes the title, source URL, date, method and duration, followed by the transcript. Plain text (.txt) contains the transcript body. The current release does not export SRT or VTT, summarize speech, translate it or describe slides.
How much does it cost after the trial?
